Tuesday School Visitor

On this dreary, cold Tuesday afternoon, some cafeteria staff members (my classroom is right next door) were in a buzz about something out the window.  A handful of us were lucky enough to have a free moment to step outside to see this beautiful bald eagle just hanging out.  One teacher was even able to capture this shot of him right before he took off.

Last Weekend's Highlight Reel

A random act of delicious kindness delivered by an amazing friend...
(Jon snatched the first one before I could snap a photo)
Some of the last karate photos, as we are ending this journey at the end of February to pursue other kid activities....

A gymnastics birthday party for Andrew's very best bud (the sweet mom invited Ethan, too)!

And, SNOW!  Just a flurry, but our first glimpse of the white stuff in two years.

Hurdlerific Path of Destruction

We laughed more than we cheered yesterday at karate.  Our hearts go out to the black belts on hurdle duty!

Tune in next week for Big Dude in a Little Helmet.

The Lost Christmas Photos

I have finally gotten a chance to peruse photos from Christmas 2012 and found a few loves that I want to post.  Mostly, the boys are hanging around the tree.  The last one, though, is a screen shot of our school district's website that briefly featured some photos of my students and me at the winter concert.

Lowcountry 2013

Jon and I spent 24 wonderful hours in Charleston this past weekend.  As usual, we had lots of fun.  Abnormally, I took very few photos this time, and only the final three in this post were with the "real" camera.
Grandma Cathy snapped this of the boys and texted it to us Friday night at bedtime.  Love.

Most delicious one ever.  So, I wanted to hang on to the recipe. :)

Hyman's seafood.  Friday night.
It was our first visit and we WILL be back.  YUM.

Brunch on Saturday found us in a nice window booth at the Noisy Oyster, right beside the market.

While much of the US was enduring blizzard conditions,
we (smugly) enjoyed lunch alongside open windows and warm ocean breezes.
Strangely (or not), this is the last shot I snapped as we walked around.
Jon suggested I was stealing the souls of these folks by taking photographs of their graves,
 so I stopped abruptly.
Note the sun spot....
or whatever you think it might be......
