Why We Moved to the South

One reason we moved here was the great weather, which was finally acceptable again today (high of 63) after our rare cold snap of late. Andrew and Ethan were outside pretty much the entire day. It was so beautiful. Hello, Vitamin D. We have missed you.
We have a thumb-sucker on our hands. Andrew never was. This is new to me.
Dora so loves her hose drinks.

Dirty bird... those fingernails need a couple more baths before being pristine. But then again, are boys' fingernails ever really pristine?!? (And the bandages are from dry skin scrapes that he keeps scratching beyond oblivion.)

Bones and Birthdays

We visited a great traveling animatronic dinosaur exhibit at the state museum yesterday, and here are the highlights. There are more photos here on my facebook page.

Also, happy four-month birthday to our very smiley, very round Ethan today!

Potty-Training Report

If THIS childwould put number two in the potty EVER (number one is great), then he would score this:
All we have talked about around these parts lately is "Big Zurg."

Oh, how we want to give him Big Zurg.

But for now, and for what seems like infinity, Big Zurg remains in his plastic cell inside his guest room closet prison.

So, there you have it: the most recent potty-training report.

Now your life is complete.

November Photo Session

Early in November, my friend Karen Johnson took some photos of us at the Children's Garden here in Columbia. Besides it being a really fun afternoon, Karen did a really nice job and we were so very happy with the photos. I posted my five favorites, and here's an album with the rest.

Christmas Highlights

We have had a great time of it so far. Andrew scored in the present category, that's for sure. Here are a few pics from last night and today. The rest are here:

Santa 3, Andrew 0

Remember LAST YEAR'S pitiful Santa post?

Well, it didn't get any better this year, either. Here's the best one we got. Not kidding. Andrew wouldn't even get close to the creepy old jolly old elf this time. And there were major tears again. Here is our terrorized youngster running out of the photo, despite all parental force pleading. Ethan just slept, with his gut a-flailing out of the shirt that so nicely matched his brother's (not that you could tell about the matching, what with all the hysteria going on). Crappy Santa pic, year three. Good for comic relief, I guess.
