It's just another example of this planet's twisted irony that the day my grandfather was laid to rest is the same day Jon gets offered a teaching position at his first-choice school. You're reading a post from the wife of the soon-to-be-more-famous first ever Assistant Band Director at Blythewood High School. In addition to the opportunities this new job offers Jon, the whole deal is particularly exciting for us because, according to Mapquest, Blythewood is approximately:
- 20 minutes North of Columbia
- 1.25 hours South of Charlotte
- 1 hour South of Cousin Jack/Kim's
- 7 hours South of Morgantown
- 6 hours South of Harrisville
- 2.5 hours West of Myrtle Beach
- 2 hours West of Charleston
This is all by car, mind you, not dreaded plane. Phew. One major life-changing question out of the way, one to go. Anyone want to buy a house in South Texas????

I'm so happy for you. Congratulations, Jon! That house will sell. I'm not even remotely worried. Yippee!
WoooooHoooooo! Congratulations!!! You must be so relieved to finally know where you're headed! That's great news.
Yeah!!!! Yippeee!!! Good for you guys.....AND uh...when's the "friends and family vacation" in SC going to happen? the Babies, the Boys, and the Babes(that's us)....Hahahahaha! I thought that might need a clarification!
Ha ha ha. Yes, right now in life, that DOES need clarified. The "triple-B" vacation can happen ANYTIME. Hope there's room in our refrigerator box for a guest bedroom or two - that's about what we'll be able to afford now. Seriously, though, that would be sooo fun. And AOSA in Charlotte next year??? That is so doable for all of us - we could arrange babysitting and a "home-base" for the grandmas, husbands or other sitters at our house. Whaddya think?
Congratulations!!! Isn't nice to know where you're headed instead of hanging in limbo!?!?!
