Last night... Do you see someone hiding? Guess what he has in his pants...Also last night: Little boy in big boy's bed This afternoon: photo of this morning's ice storm with a sad little dumptruck in the background... the truck was played with in the 62-degree sun just two days ago.
I noticed a lower right central incisor peeking through this afternoon: his first tooth (at 4.5 months, too; Andrew was 5.5 months when he got his first in exactly the same spot. YES, I whipped out the baby books). He's been a trooper so far: the teeniest bit fussy but really not very bothered by the tooth.
Also, we started rice cereal today. The photos are in order, from the moment he was happily curious about being in his high chair for the first time, until the bitter end when he had had quite enough of this bland concoction. It really does taste terrible, and we are so NOT mixing it with applesauce yet.... not until the veggies come along.
So, there's E.J.'s big day. Two milestones in one.
One reason we moved here was the great weather, which was finally acceptable again today (high of 63) after our rare cold snap of late. Andrew and Ethan were outside pretty much the entire day. It was so beautiful. Hello, Vitamin D. We have missed you. We have a thumb-sucker on our hands. Andrew never was. This is new to me. Dora so loves her hose drinks. Dirty bird... those fingernails need a couple more baths before being pristine. But then again, are boys' fingernails ever really pristine?!? (And the bandages are from dry skin scrapes that he keeps scratching beyond oblivion.)
We visited a great traveling animatronic dinosaur exhibit at the state museum yesterday, and here are the highlights. There are more photos here on my facebook page. Also, happy four-month birthday to our very smiley, very round Ethan today!
Early in November, my friend Karen Johnson took some photos of us at the Children's Garden here in Columbia. Besides it being a really fun afternoon, Karen did a really nice job and we were so very happy with the photos. I posted my five favorites, and here's an album with the rest.
